Dating from the 13th century, Fyvie Castle is a breathtaking vision of towers and turrets set in beautifully designed parkland and within easy reach of Aberdeen. Steeped in history, myth and legend, the castle is renowned for its lavish interiors, intricate ceilings and world-famous art collections, making it a fairy-tale setting for civil, religious and humanist wedding ceremonies. The castle’s exquisite Gallery and interconnecting Drawing Room provide a glorious setting for drinks receptions, ceremonies and dinners.
Outside, a short stroll through the magnificent grounds leads to the Racquets Court, a glass-roofed pavilion with a sprung dance floor, perfect for ceilidhs and evening receptions. For larger wedding receptions, a weighted marquee can be erected on the South Lawn, with the castle providing a spectacular backdrop for photographs. Exclusive use of the castle may be possible on request.
The Castle can accommodate up to 120 guests for ceremonies, drinks receptions or dinner. The Racquets Court can accommodate up to 120 guests for receptions, ceilidhs and dances or 100 guests for dinner. The marquee can accommodate up to 800 guests.
