The Year of Food and Drink

We’ve come to the end of the Year of Food and Drink – and it’s been an incredible celebration of all things Scottish.

At the beginning of the year we really enjoyed creating foodie competitions, from passionfruit cake to Guinness cupcakes. They went down a treat. As our new brand, Hickory, we have created themed menus, blogged about local suppliers, got involved in the Twitter chats – and of course, shared fantastic Scottish recipes with a Hickory twist!

Next year’s theme is the Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design, supported by some of our key partners such as the National Trust for Scotland. From textiles and technology, to architecture, fashion, and more, the 2016 Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design, running from 1 January to 31 December shines the spotlight on Scotland’s greatest assets, icons, and hidden gems.

As a company that lives and breathes innovation, we can’t wait to get involved and support this year-long event, helping others to discover the richness of the country’s beautiful built heritage, culture and environment, alongside contemporary and cutting edge designs of today.
