Hickory, an East Lothian based event catering company, have enjoyed a period of rapid expansion and now seek an exceptional and highly skilled Beverage Manager to oversee all aspects of our stylish bar with Scottish drinks. This Eskmills-based role will cover Monday-Thursday Eskmills events in addition to bar services for our fixed sites and external venues as needed.
The successful candidate will have at least 3 years experience in a management role within a beverage and food environment.As Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for managing the daily upkeep of our fixed bars, overseeing the requirements for any outside bars at events and delivering our mobile bar service. Further, you will be responsible for recruiting, training and scheduling a highly skilled and motivated team to deliver outstanding and profitable service at every event.
You will achieve the highest possible standards of customer service whilst maximising sales and cleanliness. Experience of all stock and cellar management is essential together with knowledge of wine and cask ales. In addition to having barista and mixology qualifications you will have experience of training and managing staff.
Your performance within the company will be monitored by achieving budgets regarding beverage, dry goods revenue; maintaining correct liquor margins, guests comments/feedback and employee retention.
