Scotland’s Growing Food & Drink Market

Scotland’s Growing Food & Drink Market

Good News Alert! The Scottish Government have announced that Scotland’s Food & Drink exports grew £421 million in 2016 to a record £5.5 billion! This highlights the amazing quality of our local Scottish goods. Food exports alone went up 22% to £1.5 billion with Scottish salmon and red meat boosting these sales.

At Hickory we are proud to use an extensive range of local produce in all of our recipes with our innovative chefs developing exciting combinations of flavours to bring the most out of the Scottish larder! Using delicious seafood from local waters, rich meats, and wonderful crops from our fertile Scottish lands. When a customer chooses Hickory they will experience and benefit from our full commitment to Scottish, seasonal and sustainable produce across our menus.

Building from our long standing relationships with numerous Premium Scottish food and drinks brands we’re passionate about promoting and using high-end local products at all of our events!

As the global wave of microbrewed beer continues to gather momentum, Hickory Bars has been quick to engage in the movement. We work closely with Edinburgh based brewer Innis & Gunn and have recently extended our offering adding Stewart Brewing company as our house draught for some of our exclusively managed venues.

Through our partnership with Scotland Food & Drink, we have access to an enviable network of nice Scottish supplier and producers. This further supports our ethos for local sourcing and ensuring we offer the best quality of food and drink for our clients and their guests.
